Decades of experience, in-house training, third-party certifications, and a large, modern fleet of shop and field units give us the strength to fully self-manage projects. Our long-term field staff, supported by experienced management, have worked with clients from Regina to Fort McMurray, supporting refining, logging, mining, and food processing projects.
Structure Group has replaced thousands of wear plates in the last 8 years. Everything from ¼" stainless through 1” mild and 1 ½ CCO in the oilsands. Wear plates and efficient hopper repairs is a service that could be considered our specialty. We collaborate early with clients to fully understand the scope and limitations far in advance of the outage. Typically acting as the prime we can ensure plate design, fabrication, delivery as well as all equipment and staging is ready to go the moment we take control of the asset. Along with being IRATA certified, this experience gives us time to fully plan all aspects of projects minimizing burdensome mobilization of excess personnel and equipment.
Our field service after rope access was a welding scope for Suncor Mackay River. Modification of the pipe rack structure to allow for new support brackets and a building opening. Since then, we have focused on welding as our primary service. Our experienced welders are supported by highly professional management and fully outfitted mobile welding deck and service trucks. Our welders are deployed as a standalone service or as part of a team to support our fitters and millwrights depending on the scope to allow a single point of contact for our clients. We are set up with all equipment and experience to support mining, energy and heavy industrial sites.
Certified by ABSA and TSBC we provide high quality repairs and modifications to piping and pressure vessels. Our highly mobile maintenance and shut down teams are endorsed for carbon, stainless, CCO & certain alloys across multiple weld processes. Commonly dual ticketed as fitters, our pressure welders work with strict adherence to industry and client specifications. We understand the consequences of poor quality repairs to pressure systems. Our strict protocols ensure that we have excellent quality gates at each step to ensure compliance with procedures to avoid costly we work and schedule delay. Since gaining certification we have completed oil vessel tie ins in the oilsands, food grade stainless lines in Lethbridge, CCO liner overlays and many other scopes.
Founded as a rope access company to support welding we are the only “rope access” contractor currently running a full fleet of mobile welders and service trucks. As a welding contractor we provide full ability to self manage access work for heights and confines spaces. Deploying out of Edmonton, AB, Calgary, AB and Elkford, BC we operated a fleet of fully rigged up welding rigs, service trucks, crew trucks and lifting equipment. Our Canadian SFC audited fleet consists of welders from 220 – 800a, 1-3 tons service trucks, wire feeds, plasma cutters, rope access and confined space entry equipment. Deploying and focusing on Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan we understand the importance of self-reliance and showing up with everything we need to complete a job.
