The mining industry presents some of the highest expectations of industrial equipment the harshest conditions available. Structure has replaced thousands of wear plates from ¼” stainless to 1 ½" AR450 to 50/50 CCO type plates. Wear plates are our single largest specialty related to shutdowns and outages.

Typically working alongside or providing inspection reports to integrity teams we can help determine repair or replacement plans prior to outages.

Our digital platforms track and map wear patterns year to year and assist in forecasting annual or other maintenance schedules. If you have a truck dump, surge bin, mix box, refuse bin, rockslide or other equipment with wear plates or hard surfacing we can help

Potash, grain, coal, bitumen, minerals need to flow, stopped systems mean lost production and revenue. Our millwrights are experts support by excellent tooling, training and our other in-house craftsmen and access systems.

We have become experts' rapid access/assessment and repairs of bulk handling systems. From stackers, reclaimers, hoppers, ship loaders, chutes, funnels we understand how to plan critical repairs in short maintenance windows.

Having access to full trades and engineering under the same roof give us the ability to rapidly respond or plan longer events with great detail. From potash mines in Saskatchewan to the coal mines in BC we provide dependable local service.

Welding and structural was our first scope of work many years ago, a very small scope modifying a pipe rack structure, adding supports for tubing bundles at Suncor Mackay River.

Since then, we have replaced corroded members at potash mines, installed new steel in the oilsands, added roof supports to coal mine silos and many others.  

Additionally, we find that nearly 50% of our structural work is completed in confined spaces, at height or include an undefined final execution plan.

Structure Group provides repair, replacement, tie ins and new installations of pressurized and non-registered vessels.

We are fully endorsed for all welding processes covering mild, stainless, certain alloys as well as experienced with tile/ceramic lined piping systems.

Structure’s experienced industrial millwrights are deployed with fully equipment field service trucks to handle nearly all emergency or planned equipment service.

Complimented by our team of welders, fitters and electricians we can provide a simple shaft alignment or maintenance service all the way up to large equipment replacements and tie ins, completely self-performed. Our team provides service to conveyors, drive systems, crushers/sizers, material shakers, pumps, new installs. Sole plate Levelling, strain verifications, alignments, vibrations analysis, feed belt and chain drive repair.

Structure has been providing repair and maintenance services for material hopers, chutes, silos and surge bins since 2020.

Often working in difficult or confined spaces this work shows the success of self-performing all trades. As our largest are of mining service it is common that the repair or damage is not a certainty until we can access to determine cause and repair plan. Repairs and services we offer include liner repair (CCO, Stainless, HDPE, Ceramic), concrete repair (spalling, crack injection, reinforcement repair/anode protection), mechanical system repair/millwrighting.
